TIST’s model is both simple and revolutionary: empower farmers to plant and maintain trees on unused land, verify the carbon they sequester, and return the majority of profits from carbon credit sales back to the farmers. This creates long-term climate impact while simultaneously generating income, food security, and resilience for some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.

With over 27 million trees planted and 7 million tons of CO₂ captured, the project’s track record speaks for itself. Beyond carbon, the benefits are even more profound: improved soil health, increased yields, access to clean energy and health education — all contributing to the full range of Sustainable Development Goals.
